In many schools, education has been reduced to a transactional relationship between teachers and students regarding tests and grades. At the center of this type of education is information that is “covered.” This is such a common practice in schools that we are prone to believing that education itself is nothing other than the transfer of information. At Wonderview, we know this is not the case. The purpose of education is to expand upon what is already natural to children -- learning and wonder. Children are naturally curious and love to explore - when education is simplified and dulled down to desks, pens, and papers, we do not serve children well.

 

Education is also about training students to become something, namely, lovers of God who are awakened and attuned to His beauty, goodness, and truth. As such, we partner with Christian parents to train students to live and think according to a biblical, Christ-centered worldview. In addition, we provide a rigorous, classical education that instills a lifelong love of learning so our students are prepared to thrive in college and beyond.
